Google Pixel 11 launch brings Tensor G6, Gemini features and Pixel Watch 5
Google refreshed Pixel phones, Pixel Watch and accessories with Tensor G6, Gemini features and new camera tools.
Google used its August 12 Made by Google launch to refresh the Pixel hardware lineup, led by the Pixel 11 phones and a new Pixel Watch 5. The company’s own store pages now list the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 5, Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Tag as new products, marking one of Google’s broadest device updates of the year.
AI is the center of the phone pitch
The main Pixel 11 message is less about a single hardware jump than a tighter package of camera, assistant and security features. Google says the Pixel 11 series is designed for Gemini Intelligence, with assistance that can work across apps, while the Pro models add a HiLight indicator that glows when an important call needs attention. The store also says the new Tensor G6 chip is built for Google’s advanced AI and offers up to 50 percent more computing power, a claim that will need independent testing once reviews arrive.
Camera features are another major part of the launch. Google describes a one-tap capture mode that records video and photos, then automatically edits and curates a shareable collection. The company is also promoting stronger zoom across the line, with up to 120x on Pro models, plus low-light photo and video improvements. The Verge’s event roundup adds that Google introduced creator-focused camera tools, including Magic Capture, Camera Looks and Pro Stable Video on the Pixel 11 Pro.
Watch and ecosystem updates
The Pixel Watch 5 extends the launch beyond phones. According to The Verge, Google highlighted new health and workout features, including Breathing Emergency Detection, monthly sleep breathing reports, AI-generated strength training plans and rep tracking from the watch. Google’s store pages also position the watch as part of a broader Pixel ecosystem alongside Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Tag.
For buyers, the practical story is that Google is pairing new hardware with services and upgrade incentives. Regional store pages advertise limited-time bundles and trials, including Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium offers for eligible users. Availability, pricing and promotions vary by country, so the most important near-term question is how the Tensor G6 and new camera software perform outside Google’s launch framing.
