Anthropic and Cognizant have expanded their Claude partnership, adding another large technology-services channel for bringing generative AI into production enterprise systems rather than isolated pilots.

The companies said on July 27 that Cognizant will become a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network. The arrangement gives Cognizant a larger role in packaging Claude for client projects and in embedding the model family across its own business and engineering platforms, including Flowsource, Neuro AI Engineering, and Neuro IT Ops.

For enterprise buyers, the development matters less as a branding exercise and more as a sign of where AI deployment is moving. Large companies often need model access combined with integration work, compliance controls, domain-specific process knowledge, and support for legacy systems. Cognizant is positioning the expanded relationship around that services layer, while Anthropic gains a wider route into industries such as manufacturing, life sciences, insurance, financial services, telecommunications, and travel technology.

What Cognizant says it will do

Cognizant said Claude is already being used in client work across multiple regulated industries. The examples include an AI-led customer experience portal delivered for a global manufacturer within six months, a contract-intelligence system for a biopharmaceutical company, and an insurance risk-navigation tool for underwriters.

The companies reported specific results from those deployments: the contract-intelligence system helped cut review time by up to 40 percent and raised extraction accuracy above 88 percent in that case, while the insurance tool reduced some account research from hours to about a minute and saved each underwriter roughly eight hours a week in that deployment. Those are company-reported figures rather than independently audited benchmarks, but they show the kind of operational metrics service firms are using to sell enterprise AI projects.

A larger certified workforce

The partnership also expands Cognizant's internal AI training push. Cognizant said more than 30,000 associates have completed Claude training so far, and that Claude certification will be part of a broader Frontier workforce model targeting 5,000 Frontier Certified Engineers, 10,000 Frontier Business Operators, and a certification pipeline reaching 40,000 professionals.

The announcement follows Cognizant's 2025 plan to make Claude available to up to 350,000 employees globally. The newer step is more focused on turning that access into repeatable delivery patterns: certified teams, industry blueprints, software-development workflows, and model use inside Cognizant's own platforms.

The immediate takeaway is that Anthropic is continuing to compete for enterprise AI adoption through large consulting and systems-integration partners. For customers, that could make Claude easier to deploy in production settings, but it also puts more pressure on buyers to separate reusable AI infrastructure from bespoke consulting work and to verify claimed productivity gains in their own operations.
