NVIDIA adds GeForce NOW DLSS 4.5 controls, Firefox support and GOG sign-in
NVIDIA says GeForce NOW is adding DLSS 4.5 controls, Firefox support, GOG sign-in and more launch-day cloud games.
NVIDIA used its Gamescom 2026 GeForce NOW update to widen how players reach its cloud gaming service and how Ultimate members tune streamed games. The company says the service is adding DLSS 4.5 controls this fall, official Firefox browser support now, GOG single sign-on, broader Fire TV support and a slate of launch-day games coming to the cloud.
The announcement matters because cloud gaming is judged less by raw catalog size than by friction. A player who already owns games across storefronts still has to sign in, sync libraries, choose a device, then accept whatever graphics profile the cloud service exposes. NVIDIA is trying to reduce that setup work while giving higher-tier users more visible control over the stream.
What changes for players
For Ultimate members, NVIDIA says upcoming DLSS 4.5 controls will expose choices such as Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction in supported games. The practical pitch is not only better visuals. It is also the ability to favor responsiveness, image quality or a middle setting without owning the newest local GPU.
GeForce NOW also now supports Firefox at play.geforcenow.com. NVIDIA says Ultimate members can stream from Firefox at up to 1440p and 120 frames per second, which gives Windows browser users another route besides a dedicated app or competing browsers. On TVs, the service is adding more Amazon Fire TV devices, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Select. GOG integration is aimed at library friction: members can link a GOG account once, sync supported games and launch them without another GOG sign-in step.
Why the update is useful
The clearest CyberOGZ read is that NVIDIA is treating cloud gaming as an access layer for existing PC libraries rather than a separate console. That makes the boring details important. Browser coverage, TV stick compatibility and storefront sign-in can decide whether a service becomes a regular habit or a backup option.
The games list also helps NVIDIA argue that the cloud version is not only for older titles. The company says CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company are planned for GeForce NOW at launch, with 13 games joining the library this week.
Readers should still check the fine print before treating GeForce NOW as a full hardware replacement. The new DLSS controls apply to supported games and the best browser limits are tied to Ultimate membership. Storefront sync also depends on whether a specific owned game is supported. For players who already split time across a PC, browser and living-room TV, this update makes the service easier to test with less setup cost.
