Xbox Game Pass July update adds Halo: Campaign Evolved and several day-one releases
Microsoft's late-July Xbox Game Pass lineup includes Halo: Campaign Evolved, The Planet Crafter, and several day-one games.
Microsoft has laid out the next wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for late July, led by Halo: Campaign Evolved, a rebuilt version of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign that is scheduled to arrive on July 28 for cloud, console, handheld, and PC players on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The official Xbox Wire post frames the update as a broad service refresh rather than a single-game announcement. Available on July 21, The Planet Crafter comes to cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. Microsoft describes it as a survival and terraforming game built around turning a hostile planet into a habitable one through base building, resource gathering, atmospheric engineering, and optional online co-op.
What is coming next
The rest of the schedule emphasizes day-one availability, a key selling point for Game Pass as Microsoft keeps positioning the subscription as both a discovery channel and a launch platform. Shift at Midnight is listed for July 22 on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. The game is described as an online co-op detective horror title in which three players work through randomized shifts, investigate customers, and react when encounters turn dangerous.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is the highest-profile addition in the batch. According to Xbox, the remake keeps the original campaign structure but rebuilds it with high-definition visuals, refined controls, up to four-player online co-op, three new missions, an expanded arsenal, additional vehicles, and new enemies. For Microsoft, placing the remake into Game Pass on launch day reinforces the service's role in the company's first-party release strategy.
- Mistfall Hunter, a dark fantasy extraction action RPG, is due July 30 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- Corsair Cove arrives for PC on July 31 through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- Beast of Reincarnation, Game Freak's new action RPG, is also highlighted as a coming Game Pass title with a mix of real-time and turn-based combat.
The update is meaningful because it combines an established franchise remake with several smaller day-one launches. That mix gives Microsoft a stronger late-July catalog beat without relying only on back-catalog additions, while giving developers a prominent subscription launch window across PC, console, and cloud.
